Oliver Thomas was appointed Executive Chef of The Lowry Hotel in July 2008.

Oliver has been with The Lowry Hotel for over seven years in varying positions. He started in 2001 as Chef de Partie and was on the opening team of The River Restaurant under the guidance of Marco Pierre White. His development within the operation led him to be made Executive Head Banqueting Chef in 2003.

Oliver manages a team of 32 chefs at The Lowry Hotel and is responsible for creating and implementing all in house menus, with his main focus being the new food concept and continued enhancement of the restaurant's reputation as one of the best in the city.

The new menu Oliver has introduced at The River Restaurant showcases some of the best local produce available and includes carefully sourced items from other areas of the British Isles.
